Recent Nook changes, newest first, summarised from nook-v3/CHANGELOG.md, the git log on main and Nook's production release record. Times are Pacific (PDT until Nov 1, PST after). Every entry from Oct 25 on is released to production unless it says otherwise.

Tue Nov 3, 2026

  • Afternoon: website restyled. The sign-in screen, agent connect links, store sign-in panel, purchase review and accounts page got a new look; their behaviour is unchanged. Web releases now carry the live site's files, which fixes a blank page right after a release.

Mon Nov 2, 2026

  • 3:28 PM: Latest backend release, with operator-only retailer pages.
  • 11:55 AM to 1:29 PM: Sign-in reliability. Retries based on progress, the store's own submit buttons, one-use code entry, an account check after the code, and the session saved as soon as sign-in is accepted, then proven in a fresh browser.

Sun Nov 1, 2026

  • 9:14 PM: Sign-in by emailed link. Nook asks the person to paste the store's sign-in link and opens it privately.
  • 7:53 PM: Encrypted network recording is on by default for site builds, with credentials left out.
  • 4:03 PM: Production moved to dedicated CPUs after shared CPUs ran out and stalled requests.
  • 12:07 PM: Releases drain first. During a release, new requests get 503 service_draining instead of being cut off.
  • 10:44 AM: Delta re-sign-in fixed and Delta reconnected.
  • 10:14 AM: More ways to sign in. Sign-in offers the store's other methods, follows its pop-ups and has a password show/hide.
  • 9:45 AM: An outside agent quoted DETOURE through its own grant.
  • 2:50 AM: DETOURE quotes. The first site Nook set up from its web address returned a verified $13.21 checkout with the cart put back.
  • 1:41 AM: Quote a set-up site's product by its page path (merchant_data.<store>.item_id).
  • 1:15 AM: Card at purchase. At a store that keeps no saved card, the person types the card on Nook's approval page; a yes in chat alone can't buy it.

Sat Oct 31, 2026

  • 10:29 PM: Reads-only sites (vercel, shopify, porkbun, polymarket) refuse writes and purchases with reads_only_site.
  • 9:29 PM: A person can revoke one agent's use of a connection.
  • 9:10 PM: Quote drivers for set-up sites. A site Nook set up can get a quote driver, which switches on only after a real quote passes Nook's checks.
  • 9:04 PM: One lock per person's store account. Quotes, purchases, operations, address saves, session checks and site builds share it; a competing request gets 409 in_use.
  • 3:29 PM: First generated write and undo on real accounts: Sweetgreen and Costco made a change and verifiably undid it.

Fri Oct 30, 2026

  • 11:03 to 11:34 PM: Site builds run durably, ten at a time, with pause, stop and continue.
  • 3:15 PM: Site jobs connect the account first and return a sign-in link before generating operations. Public-only builds are explicit ("mode": "public").
  • 11:47 AM: Add a website by its address (POST /v3/api/agent/site-jobs), for pilot partners.

Thu Oct 29, 2026

  • 10:47 to 11:44 PM: Public reads that need no account (GET /v3/api/agent/sites), starting with Fandango showtimes. Results are checked against the page; any Nook can't place come back as unverified_results.
  • 9:42 PM: Operations on a connected store: named reads and writes beyond quotes, starting with Skyscanner flight search and price alerts.
  • 5:37 to 6:10 PM: Sign-in fixes for set-up sites: Jev can dismiss a dialog in the way, site definitions survive releases, and a footer "Log in" link no longer contradicts a signed-in account.
  • 4:56 PM: Add an Amazon delivery address (POST /v3/api/agent/connections/<id>/address).

Mon Oct 26, 2026

  • 6:28 PM: Amazon picks the requested color or size on a product page before refusing; quotes gain items[].selected_variants and availability. Chewy quotes read Chewy's redesigned order summary again (every Chewy quote had been blocking charges_unreadable), and Target search results are named correctly again (every Target quote had been blocking product_choice_requires_user).
  • **5:14 PM: Amazon reads /clp/ canonical links,** fixing false product_mismatch blocks.

Sun Oct 25, 2026

  • 9:52 PM: Amazon product identity released (PR #158, merged 9:33 PM). See Product identity rules.
  • 9:13 PM: Amazon identity candidate checks complete. Cloud 436/436, service 140/140, lab 170/170, onboarding 18/18. A quote-only run on a real account returned a complete $87.10 quote for a previously blocked product, with the cart put back and nothing bought.
  • 9:10 PM: Source-bound Amazon title aliases (candidate). One exact title from the product page's document title, used only when the page's address, canonical address and Buy/Add form agree on the chosen product.
  • 9:03 PM: Amazon checkout identity traced. Five product_mismatch results came from short product titles versus longer checkout titles, with no product ID visible at checkout.
  • 8:26 PM: PR #157 merged. Added an operator guide and full runbook for the 4319 lab (edition Oct 25, 8:15 PM PDT): seven model aliases, six store cases, quote-only versus live-order modes, and how to grade results.
  • 8:04 PM: Main integration approved (PR #156). Main now matches the backend running in production and includes the extracted lab features. #142, #143 and #147's backend part stay held.
  • 7:59 PM: Main-integration lab passes a real quote and an existing-order read. A real $4.33 Amazon quote with cleanup done; a fresh read of an earlier Uber Eats order showed it delivered. Nothing new was bought.
  • 7:53 PM: Deployed backend and lab features consolidated for review.

Fri Oct 2, 2026

  • 1:44 PM: Instacart selected-listing fix released. A listing the person picked from discovery carries into the quote exactly.
  • 1:17 PM: Instacart product-led discovery released. Leave the retailer out to get a few observed listings across stores first.
  • 12:47 PM: Instacart backend released, including choosing the destination and a shared order reader.
  • 12:00 PM: Shared order lifecycle and concluded-order reader released.
  • 11:36 AM: Uber Eats order reader released; order status can be refreshed after purchase.
  • 10:55 AM: Uber Eats multi-unit deals released.
  • 10:34 AM: Uber Eats fixes released for buyer testing through the 4319 lab.
  • 9:05 AM: Amazon protection-offer fix released. Amazon's optional paid protection offer after Add is declined once, only for the selected product.

Tue Sep 29, 2026

  • 11:01 PM: Several products per quote at every store; quotes get an hour.
  • 8:14 PM: One link, one button shares all of a person's signed-in accounts with an agent.
  • 6:56 PM: Purchases: an order Amazon reports as placed is looked up in order history at once.
  • 5:15 PM: First purchase approved in chat: Amazon, $6.57, 52 seconds from the person's words to the order.
  • 5:05 PM: Released "yes in chat" (#126). The person's words in chat can approve a purchase.
  • 4:30 PM: Released: purchases go through (#119), and production moved to a hosted service.

Mon Sep 28, 2026

  • 6:17 PM: Agents register their own partner key.
  • 5:32 PM: Public v3 integration live, replacing the v1 discovery.
  • 3:49 PM: Chewy quotes and Add card released.

Older history is in the Nook repo's changelog.
